Yonka was born and raised in South Africa, where she resided for the first 14 years of my life.
In 1997, she moved to Annapolis, MD. "It was hard moving to an entirely new country with an entirely new culture, I couldn't speak English when I moved here which also made things a little more difficult for me, Although somehow, I pulled through."
Growing up in South Africa was a very difficult experience, but a unique one which she wouldn't trade for anything. "I am the person I am today because of the experiences I have been through, good or bad and for that I'm nothing more but very blessed."
Yonka started modeling at the young age of 4. Coming from a family involved in the modeling industry in South Africa, "My mother and my aunt had a modeling school which Charlize Theron attended."
"I love to travel and have been given a great oppertunity with that in the modeling industry. I have just been on a reality telvision show called shut up and model which was a great experience and really added a lot of spice to my experience as far as modeling. I hope that I would have the continuing priveladge to have a career in this industry. I love modeling and enjoy doing it very much."
A full time college student attending the University of Tampa, studying criminal psychology, she hopes to one day be a profiler.
We wish her the best of luck and know that whichever profile she follows will lead her to catch her dreams.
